This presentation provides an overview of the topic of youth suicide, signs and symptoms, and how caregivers and professionals should respond in times of crisis. The training will dive into the rates of youth suicide, risk factors, and proactive steps to take for prevention.

Presenter: Nathan LaChine is a Therapeutic Foster Parent for the last 17 years, specializing in early childhood traumas. Nathan’s current role as Board of Director and Webmaster for Male Survivor involves the oversight of the volunteer staff along with the daily operations of the site which sees over 100,000 visitors and 2.5 million pages views annually. Nathan is currently a Therapeutic Foster Parent and Community Educator for Coordinated Care providing trainings and resources for Caregivers in Washington state. He is also a community activist for foster parents and youth in care here in Washington State, Board of Director for MaleSurvivor.org and Region 5 1624 Rep. Published author and speaker and trainer on wide range of topics.
