Virtual Care, Real Connection: Best Practices for Youth Telehealth
WEBINAR
Maximizing Telehealth for Youth – Best Practices for Engagement, Safety, and Provider Support
Kids Mental Health Washington, in partnership with Charlie Health’s clinical team, is pleased to offer a statewide webinar designed to strengthen the effectiveness of telehealth services for youth across Washington. As virtual behavioral health care continues to expand, providers, schools, care coordinators, and youth‑serving professionals play a crucial role in ensuring that telehealth is engaging, accessible, safe, and responsive to the diverse needs of young people.
This collaborative session will explore evidence‑informed strategies for building therapeutic rapport in a virtual environment, creating supportive telehealth spaces and tailoring approaches for specific populations—including LGBTQIA+ youth, youth of color, and those experiencing higher levels of acuity or environmental barriers. Presenters will also walk through practical tools for assessing safety remotely, coordinating with caregivers and schools, and knowing when—and how—to elevate concerns to the appropriate level of care.
Participants will gain insights into how Charlie Health and Kids Mental Health Washington work together to support youth and families statewide, including how to identify the right point of contact for referrals and how to connect youth to specialized programs in your community.
