Focus on Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health

Thu, July 14, 2022
12:00 PM – 12:45 PM PDT

When adults are going through stressful and traumatic experiences, there are often babies and young children nearby, who are witnessing and experiencing these same stresses. Join us in thinking about young children’s social-emotional needs and ways to respond in ways that help them feel safe, loved, and protected.

Speaker:

Haruko Watanabe, MA, LMHC, IMH-E®
Program Manager – Navos Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Program

About Haruko: Haruko Watanabe (MA, LMHC, IMH-E®) joined the Navos Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) program in 2008 — soon after, it was founded as the first dedicated Infant Mental Health Program of its kind in King County’s community mental health system.

As the Program Manager of the IECMH program, Haruko has been carrying out the original spirit of the program to support families who are low-income with young children through innovative service delivery methods and equitable access to care.
