Mindful Parenting Training Tuesdays 10AM-11AM
Join Kids Mental Health Pierce County and Mary Bridge Children’s in collaboration with Kids and Family Counseling for a free training series provided by highly skilled dually certified Board Certified Behavior Analysts/Licensed Mental Health Professionals.
Each session will be offered twice a week (Monday and Thursday) for two opportunities to attend the same training. Courses may be taken independently of the others and folks can register for one or many!
Purpose: Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) often face barriers to care and understanding. This training series is designed to bridge the gap-providing education, support and practical tools for educators & school staff, mental health and healthcare providers, youth support professionals, case managers and coordinators, family support, and anyone else working with youth with behavioral or developmental needs.
Key Takeaways: A deeper understanding of ASD and IDD, behavior support techniques, strategies for first responders, tools for working with families, cross-system collaboration tips, real life skills and interactive discussions. Trainings will be offered virtually twice weekly April through June. Additional opportunity for agency specific requests virtually or in-person are available by request through training tab on the KMHPC website.
